Try on as many dress as you need, you may be surprised. One bride told us that she went into the bridal shop and found a dress that was the complete opposite of what she thought she wanted. Once the dress comes off the hanger, it will have a completely different shape, which is why it is important to have many options.
Bring A Camera
Bringing a camera is great idea. You can snap a few photos on your phone to get a good visual of what the dress really looks like on you, and how that’s going to change as you go throughout the course of the day. We spoke with one bride that says, “It was great to be able to share some photos with close friends and relatives.” Not only was she able to get a better idea of what works best, this allowed them to feel like they were a part of the decision-making process.
Go with Your Gut
This sounds like a pretty obviously one, and yet many women can often feel pressured or even overwhelmed. Imagine finding a dress that you love, only to see how another dress may look on someone else. You may start second guessing yourself, which is all too common. Some advice from one of our other bride’s is DON’T do that. She explains how she almost missed out on an amazing dress but chose to go with her gut instead. She says, “If it’s there, and you love it, buy it!” Look no further! Your dream dress may be the first dress you try on, you never know.
Stick to Your Budget
Budgeting is key when planning a wedding. There are so many choices out there with designers who aim to please everyone with providing some great price points. There’s nothing better than finding that gorgeous Kate Middleton inspired dress for less than a fraction of the price.
